Thursday 23rd February - Tinsley Round - evening walk

Description
This is an easy 5 mile walk which is flat. It Starts at Meadowhall Interchange car park, follows the canal for a while and then loops back onto the 5 weirs, taking a slight diversion to visit the Crown Inn before returning to the Interchange.

Details

Start time: 6:50pm

Meeting point: Meadowhall Interchange Car Park

Parking: Free car park

Public transport: Trains & buses to Meadowhall

Walk Leaders: Hemmy, Village Owl

Additional information:

Anyone who is able to offer lifts, could they put this in their post, thanks.

Don't like to be the bringer of bad news, but if the Fox and Duck is the pub on the main road going towards Magna I think it has shut down..

Pub update...I've just been out running and passed both the pubs mentioned on this post.
Fox & Duck still exists but seems to have been turned into some sort of a community centre. Nearly crashed into a lamp post trying to look at it and run at the same time!
Crown Inn - alive and kicking..lights on and people in it!

We are meeting in the car park of the interchange, by the steps that lead up to the access across to meadowhall etc.

How far is it from town centre? I've had this crazy idea that I'm gonna have an early tea and walk to meadowhell from home. Its too sunny to waste it, and it shouldnt be too strenous as its mostly downhill following the Don.
