Five Weirs Torch Walk - Thursday 24th January

Description

This is a 5 mile walk
A totally flat linear walk along the River Don from Meadowhall to the City Centre, where we can stop for a drink before catching the bus/tram back to Meadowhall


Details
Start time: 7.00pm
Parking: Car park at Meadowhall Interchange - railway station side.
Meeting point: As above
Map Reference: SK390914 postcode: S9 1ER
Refreshments and Toilets Various places at the end of the walk
Public transport: Various ways of getting Meadowhall - bus/train & tram.
Walk Leaders: Rick the Roman & Bruno

Additional information
Anyone who is able to offer lifts, could they put this in their post, passengers please note that the driver may wish to join the rest of the group for a drink after the walk, so please bear this mind, thanks. Any passengers receiving a lift to a walk, please offer £3.50 to the driver to cover fuel costs.

Enjoyable walk with nice drink after at the 'tap.' Well done to Philippo on winning the 50/50. They even put a special train on to take us home - feel quite tired now!

Another good walk,wow what a day.Excellent film in morning thanks Yellowbelly,followed by lovely chinese thanks Kittykat finishing with a drink and chat in pub after a brisk 5 mile walk.
Well done Phillippo winning 50/50,thanks Rick the Roman for leading.
No idea what fiftyish is on about maybe he`d had too much too drink lol.
