Silkstone/Cawthorne - Saturday 16th February
Description
This circular route explores the gentle countryside of South Yorkshire and two lovely villages. This is a well-marked trail on the level.
This walk is 6 miles
Details
Start time: 10.48 (see details below)
Parking: Plenty of free parking at Meadowhall/Chapeltown
Meeting Point: Chapeltown Railway Station
Starting point: Silkstone Common Railway Station
Refreshments and Toilets:
Public transport: We shall be travelling on the 10.48 train (Sheffield to Huddersfield), meet on platform 2 at Chapeltown Railway Station. The train arrives at Silkstone Common at 11.10. This train commences its journey at Sheffield station and stops at Meadowhall before getting to Chapeltown.
Any one wishing to travel by car to the starting point, there is car parking near Silkstone Common railway station

If you are planning on joining this walk please post in this thread so that the walk leader knows to expect you.
Anyone who is able to offer lifts, could they put this in their post. Any passengers receiving a lift to a walk, please offer £3.50 to the driver to cover fuel costs.
Passengers please note that the driver may wish to join the rest of the group for a drink after the walk, so please bear this mind
Please note there is a £2 one off registration fee for new members

i might try this one but i will get some one to fill me in at the bbb next week ive noticed pots and pans are always at top of posting i dont want to drop myself in it but is this hubby and carving knife or a lady or even a bloke . its got a kind of a ring to it like mills and boon morcambe and wise any way some one will say and i will end up with egg on my face .
