I'll be there, and can offer lifts to three/four people from around the city centre.

I will be doing the full walk.

We should be there.
Are we going to arrange a car shift in case anyone can only manage 1/2 of it, or are we just going for gold?!

Hi - myself and Pooh will be doing this walk, but I can only do about 4 miles. Is there a map I can look at to work out where I can join the walk when you're part way through it?

If you can manage 4 and a half miles you could always arrange with Hemmy to leave a car somewhere.
It will be lovely to see you both again.

If anybody is interested, there is the alternative of doing half the walk (4.5 miles) if they want. The route for this would be Kiveton Park to the Lockkeepers Inn at Worksop only on a linear route.

To do this, you would have to drop off any passengers in your car at the start of the walk, and then take your car to the half way point and leave it there. One car will then be used to get back to the start of the walk.
We'll then reverse the plan once we get to the Lockkeepers.

It would mean getting to the start fairly early, but we've done this before and it worked out ok last time.

The Lockkeepers Inn is at Sandy Lane, Worksop S81 1TJ.

I think people will need to be pretty clear when they post if they want to do the shortened walk so we can work out logistics of car ferrying beforehand.
It also affects any passengers you are carrying as well, so please make sure everyone in your car is wanting to do the same length walk, or that you have alternative arrangements for getting them home if not! (Voice of experience from last year!) D

You'll have no choice Hemmy. If you stop you'll have to live on the canal bank for the rest of your days, however I'm sure we'll have walking poles and volunteers to prod you if necessary. I will organise a committee to discuss prodding duties and a rota! hello
