Linacre Reservoir

For insurance, and common sense reasons, it is a requirement that people put their names down in advance if they intend to come on a Shamblers Walk.

Date: Sunday 17th July

Start time: Meet at 10.30 for 10.45am start

Meeting point: Lower Car Park at Linacre Reservoir (Car parks at the reservoir are signposted off the B6050 on the way out of Chesterfield through Cutthorpe)

Approx distance: 8.1 miles

Approx duration: 4.5 hours

Route: Linacre Reservoir - Millthorpe - Oxton Rakes - Linacre

Terrain: Field/grassy paths and tracks, bridalways, woodland, underlating hills

Parking: Lower Car Park at Linacre Reservoir

Refreshments: The Royal Oak, Millthorpe

Toilets: As above, and at Linacre Reservoir

Public transport: None

Walk Leaders: Village Owl, Dezstohelit

Additional information: Anyone who is able to offer lifts, will they put this in their post.

Not been on a Sunday walk (only a Friday walk) but would like to join you tomorrow. Might not manage the full walk as have commitments later on.

Quite agree VO this was a lovely walk and thanks for leading it.

I feel more like ive done about 10 miles today not 8! Must be because I havent walked for so long! The weather was having fun with us today sunny one moment raining the next. Some stunning views on todays walk and some very nice property! The pub stop for a cup of tea was very welcome. Nice to see some people who havent been for a long time. Hope everyone enjoyed it. Cya all soon :-)
